Dr. Catherine Logan is a sports medicine Orthopaedic Surgeon, as well as a former physical therapist and personal trainer, specializing in complex knee and shoulder surgery. With her rehab and fitness background, she provides a distinctive expertise in sports injury, prevention, surgical management and recovery. A different perspective
Dr. Logan began her career as a physical therapist, working at John’s Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD before moving to smaller sport-medicine-focused clinics. During her 7 years as a therapist, Dr. Logan also worked as a Certified Personal Trainer and Pilates instructor, enabling her to build a broad knowledge of rehabilitation, injury prevention, sports performance, and recovery.
A history of academic excellence
After her transition from physical therapy, Dr. Logan excelled at the Tufts School of Medicine in Boston, MA, earning multiple clinical and research awards while simultaneously earning her Master of Business Administration (M.B.A). Dr. Logan stayed in Boston for residency, matriculating to the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency program. During her time at Harvard, Dr. Logan studied the epidemiology and management of discoid meniscus and was the Editor-in-Chief of the Orthopaedic Journal of the Harvard Medical School. Following residency, Dr. Logan completed her sports medicine fellowship at the world-renowned Steadman Philippon Research Institute/The Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO
