Episode 5: Dr. Elizabeth Matzkin of Brigham & Women’s Hospital on All Things Meniscus (Part I)

Dr. Catherine Logan and Dr. Ashley Bassett sit down with Dr. Elizabeth Matzkin, Assistant Professor at Harvard University, to discuss the evaluation, surgical treatment and rehabilitation of meniscus tears. Dr. Matzkin is the Chief of Women’s Sports Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She currently serves as a team physician for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, U.S. Paralympics Soccer Team, U.S. Women’s National Hockey Team, and is the head team physician of Stonehill College.

The Sports Docs The Sports Docs – Dr. Logan & Dr. Bassett – are friends & former co-residents from the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program, who went onto esteemed sports medicine fellowships at The Steadman Clinic and The Rothman Institute, respectively. Dr. Logan practices in Denver, CO, and serves as Head League Physician of the Premier Lacrosse League & as a team physician for U.S. Ski & Snowboard. Dr. Bassett is the director of the Women’s Sports Medicine Center at the Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey and practices across northern NJ, primarily in Morris and Sussex Counties.
