What should I do the day before surgery to prepare?
- Do NOT eat or drink anything after midnight on the evening prior to your surgery.
- Identify for a friend or family member to transport you to and from the hospital on the day of surgery. You will NOT be able to use a ride-share service provider, such as Uber or Lyft, to travel home following surgery.
Who should I call to schedule a pre-procedure COVID-19 test, if required?
Before getting your COVID-19 test, please pre-register for your upcoming visit to Rose. A member of the registration staff will call you at the number we have on file for you 1-2 days prior to your test. If you prefer to call the facility to pre-register, pre-reg can be reached directly at (303) 320-2798; or you can reach a registrar at main admissions (303) 320-2841 from 6:30am to 5pm; or you can pre-register online.
When will I find out my surgical time?
The surgery facility will call you directly the day prior to surgery to let you know your expected arrival time to our facility. Information can also be found in your patient portal.
May I take medications on the morning of surgery?
Take only the medications prescribed for heart conditions, such as hypertension, unless advised otherwise by your Primary Care Physician. If you take medication for diabetes, please consult with the physician who prescribes you this medication for instructions. A pre-operative consultation may be recommended with your internist or primary care physician to detail medication instructions.
